Nilgiri's Song - 100g
Reference : TNNIND02
If this tea was a bird, he would sing with such fervour and consistency that all the hills around would sing with him. Its name is an homage to its producer. He is the singer of organic and biodynamic agriculture in South India, which is used to pesticides inthe tea fields. He encourages other tea gardens to use these practices and to gather.

On his 10 acres, this nature lover made the choice of no fences : elephants and leopards can freely go through the tea plantation. He preserves other plants in the neighbourhood of the tea bushes : mango, cotton, guava and coffee. Nilgiri's song is a testimony : nature respectful agriculture is possible, viable and generous, even on a small scale plantation.

South India is mainly oriented towards CTC (CTC for Crush, Tear, Curl. It is a way to process tea which crushes the leaves. That method has been industrially developed for tea bags). But Nilgiri's song has long leaves, thanks to hand harvesting and orthodox process, which leads palate's curiosity. Its fragrance reminds tobacco leaves, exotic wood and musc.
Its flavour is woody, with an intense heart of hull and notes of nutmeg.
Without any stiffness, but with charisma, Nilgiri's song is a perfect morning fellow.
